Game engine in C++

During a university course, I was part of a group project to develop a game engine from scratch using C++. Our final game needed to fulfill specific requirements, but apart from that, we could choose everything ourselves.
Technology stack #
After doing some research, we defined our technology stack as follows:
- Vcpkg → Package management, included as a Git submodule
- SFML → Window management, sprite rendering
- spdlog → A fast C++ logging framework
- imgui-sfml → ImGui debugging window while developing the game
- nlohmann-json → Saving game state objects to
.jsonfiles - gtest → Basic unit tests and testing framework for the game engine
Asset library #
We used the asset library SunnySide.
